How we access your accounts
Last updated 30 October 2026
The short version
- You stay the owner of every account. We work through access in our own name.
- We never ask for your passwords, or for the codes a platform texts or emails you.
- We ask for the lowest role that lets us do the work.
- You can remove us at any time, and we remove ourselves when the work ends.
Who to invite
Invite timo@nominateagency.com wherever a platform asks for an email address. Each invitation sends us an email, and we accept it the same day. If you would rather not do it alone, we can do it together on a short call: you share your screen and click, we tell you where.

What we ask for, and why
| Account | Access we ask for | What we do with it |
|---|---|---|
| Google Business Profile | Manager, never owner | Categories, hours, photos, booking link and website link, and replies to reviews once you approve them in writing |
| Your website | An administrator login of our own | Let AI engines read the site, add structured data, service pages, a service-area page and an FAQ |
| Google Search Console and Analytics | Full user and Editor, only if you have them | Check that Google reads the new pages, and count visits from AI assistants |
| Apple Business (Apple Maps) | Marketing Administrator | Make your Apple Maps listing match your Google profile |
| Yelp | A user login of our own | Correct your business details. We never touch billing. |
| Angi and HomeAdvisor | A team member with the associate role | Correct your profile, without seeing your budget or payments |
| Bing | None | You copy your Google profile to Bing once, and Bing follows our changes on Google |
| BBB, Thumbtack, Nextdoor and Facebook | None | You log in on a short call and we guide you |
| Your domain | DNS access only, and only if we build or move your website | Point the domain at the new site |
Google Business Profile
This one matters most. Sign in to the Google Account that owns your profile, then:
- Search Google for my business, or for your business name and town. Your profile opens at the top.
- Click More, then Business Profile settings, then People and access.
- Click Add at the top left and enter timo@nominateagency.com.
- Under Access, choose Manager and click Invite.
You stay the owner: a manager cannot remove you, add people or delete the profile. If you would rather not give us access, that is fine too, and you make the changes on a call with us. We reply to reviews in your name only after you approve it in writing; an email is enough.
Google Business Profile is free to use. Our fees pay for our work on it, not for the profile. Google asks agencies to share its tips for working with a third party.
Not verified yet? Verify the profile first. Google picks the method, and it can take up to five business days. If someone else controls your profile, such as a former web designer, we help you get it back.
Your website
Find the one your website runs on. If it is not listed, tell us what it runs on and we send you the steps.
WordPress
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Users → Add User.
- Enter a username, such as nominate, and timo@nominateagency.com as the email.
- Leave the generated password and tick Send User Notification. We set our own password from that email.
- Set Role to Administrator and click Add User.
Why administrator: the robots.txt file, structured data and new pages are edited through plugins and settings that an Editor cannot open.
Wix
- In your Wix dashboard, go to Settings → Roles & Permissions.
- Click Invite Collaborators and enter timo@nominateagency.com.
- Tick Website Manager and click Send Invites.
Wix's free plan allows one collaborator. If that seat is taken, remove the old collaborator first or upgrade.
Squarespace
- Go to Settings → Permissions & Ownership.
- Click Invite Contributor and enter Timo Naapila and timo@nominateagency.com.
- Turn on Administrator and click Invite.
Why administrator: Squarespace lets only owners and administrators edit code injection and SEO settings.
GoDaddy Website Builder
- Open account.godaddy.com/access (Delegate Access).
- Under People who can access my account, select Invite to Access.
- Enter Timo Naapila and timo@nominateagency.com, choose Products & Domains and select Invite.
GoDaddy invitations expire after two or three days, so tell us when you have sent it.
Google Search Console and Google Analytics
Only if you already have them. If you don't, we can set them up with you later, in your own Google Account.
Search Console
- Open your site in Search Console and click Settings in the left menu.
- Click Users and permissions, then Add user.
- Enter timo@nominateagency.com, set the permission to Full and add the user.
Only an owner of the site in Search Console sees Users and permissions. If your web designer set it up, they may need to add us.
Google Analytics
- Click Admin, then, under Property, Property access management.
- Click +, then Add users.
- Enter timo@nominateagency.com, tick Notify new users by email, choose the role Editor and click Add.
Apple Business (Apple Maps)
Apple Business Connect is now part of Apple Business. Sign in at business.apple.com as an administrator, then:
- Go to People → Users and click Add.
- Choose Send Email and enter timo@nominateagency.com.
- Choose the role Marketing Administrator and your brand, then click Invite.
Not on Apple Business yet? We set it up with you on a call. Apple asks you to verify the business, which can take up to five business days, and it may call your business number with a code.
Yelp
- In Yelp for Business, open Account Settings, then User Management.
- Click Invite a User, choose a Job Title and enter timo@nominateagency.com.
- Select your location and click Send Invite.
Yelp gives every user the same rights as the owner, billing included. We never touch billing or payment methods.
Angi and HomeAdvisor
- At office.angi.com, hover My business and click Manage team. In the app, tap the account icon, then Manage team.
- Click Add team member and enter Timo Naapila and timo@nominateagency.com.
- Choose the associate role and click Send invite.
An associate can edit your profile and work your reviews, but cannot see your budget, statements or payments.
Bing
Bing cannot add a user, so you copy your Google profile to Bing once. After that, Bing follows the changes we make on Google.
- Go to bing.com/forbusiness and sign in with Google, using the account that owns your Google profile.
- Choose Import from your Google Business Profile, and a weekly sync.
Bing shows the listing as pending for one to two weeks before it goes live.
BBB, Thumbtack, Nextdoor and Facebook
BBB, Thumbtack and Nextdoor have no way to invite someone with a login of their own. Facebook does, but only full control can change your address, phone and hours, and full control can also delete your Page. So we do these together on a short call: you log in and click, and we tell you where.
Your domain
We only need this if we build your new website or move it. DNS access is enough; we never ask to transfer the domain.
GoDaddy
- Open account.godaddy.com/access and select Invite to Access.
- Enter Timo Naapila and timo@nominateagency.com, choose Domains Only and select Invite.
Cloudflare
- Go to Manage Account → Members and click Invite members.
- Enter timo@nominateagency.com.
- Under Add permission policies, choose your domain and the role Domain DNS, then Create policy.
- Click Invite members.
Namecheap
- Go to Domain List and click Manage next to the domain.
- Open the Sharing & Transfer tab and find Share Access.
- Under New Manager, enter timo@nominateagency.com and click Add.
- Allow DNS settings only, and confirm with your password.
Squarespace Domains (including former Google Domains)
- Open your domains dashboard and click the domain.
- Click Permissions → Invite domain manager and enter Timo Naapila and timo@nominateagency.com.
When the work ends
When the work ends, or whenever you ask, we remove our own access within seven business days and send you a list of everything we changed. You can also remove us yourself at any time, in the same place where you added us.
Questions about any of this: timo@nominateagency.com.
